sentimiyento ng isang IGLOT

overworked.. under paid.. under pressure

I love NETWORK. I love servers. I love everything about my work. I love doing sysad jobs, DB admin jobs. I love everything about being an admin.

Nakakalungkot lang na hindi nako makafocus to my work dahil kinukuha na ang time ko ng "programming". I was tasked to do the programming work na dapat sana ay naka assigned sa Development team.

Unti unti nararamdaman ko na ang pagod. Ang work na nakakapagpasaya sakin, unti unti nakong kinakain.
Its draining my spirit. I've been doing a lot of things lately and its pressuring me. I want to scream. I want to get out.

Dapat talaga hindi bibo kid. Para hindi sayo mapunta lahat ng trabaho. Have you ever felt na you're doing a lot pero kulang pa din.

Wala naman kasi silang alam kung ano pinipindot mo everytime your faced with your screen.

User Profile Error on VIsta - Logged on with a Temporary Profile

Ever experienced logging to Vista only to find out that your wallpaper is changed and your files are missing too? Your first reaction? --PANIC!

As an admin slash technical support slash developer slash slash slash,
I have encountered this problem many times. And since data is very important to users, I don't do reformat. I ask Mr. Google what to do with this case and as always, he has his answers.

So here's how to correct a login profile error in vista in case you encounter one:

1. Log in as an administrator.

2. Run the registry editor. Click on Start -> Run then type regedit and press Enter.

3. Look for the profiles located at this path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Notice that there exists 2 profiles with the same SID. Click on each profile. AT the right side, check the profile path. You'll see that the active profile points to a C:/Users/temp directory.

(This is the reason that users can't see their files and desktop wallpaper)

4. Rename the profile pointing to the temp folder. Append .bak at the profile name

5. Rename the profile with .bak extension. This is the original user profile. (Remove ".bak")

6. Log off then login again.

Congratulations! Your back to your old desktop profile :-)

Crab Mentality

Crab mentality, sometimes referred to as crabs in the bucket, describes a way of thinking best described by the phrase "if I can't have it, neither should you."
(from wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_mentality)

But how about those person na nagsasabing "I can have it but you can't"?

hmm ano kaya sila?

RAT PLAN

TAON ang aantayin mo bago gumalaw an position.

Harinawa!

nakakainis na ang GSIS!!

Grrr..

bakit laging magulo ang record ng GSIS. Everytime magiinquire ka regarding your loans, iba ibang amount ang binibigay nila.

Ngayon naman I was trying to withdraw my UOLI. Ang termination amount daw P0.00?!!
Pero nung nagpapaapply pa lang sila they made it clear na optional ang policy nato at kung ayaw mo na at gusto mo nang iwithdraw e face value daw ang makukuha mo..And also sabi nila this is a different policy than regular policy. Any transaction sa regular policy would never affect the UOLI.

I'm not expecting to get the face value ng aking remittances.

nakakainis sila!!!

cleaning black macbook - how to

BLACK is beautiful!
But when it started to look greasy and oily well its
And not safe too I guess :)

I need to find something to clean this black baby.
I was working hard with it lately and I think she deserves a good bath.

Any idea? Help.

month long leave

Im on a 1-month leave. on Network Administration!
Because I have to cater the immediate request for a web-based system that would consolidate the infrastructure projects of DA.

So basically, I'm back to sleepless nights of programming.
I think its becoming a hobby. Their hobby. Them. The bosses in beard.
They usually require something online and automated and they want it delivered in 2 weeks. That's how they see how easy a system is developed these days. just 2 weeks!
Because they have no idea how system development is done...

Well, I have no choice but to work on it. After two weeks, we came up with what they want. And I'm so happy that they are pleased with it. I just hope that they will use it. I'm pretty sure that it would lighten the load of many DA employees who mostly spent their weekends consolidating data.

Hmmm.. I think I miss programming a little. Been too busy with network lately. This 1 month has been refreshing.. I remember the old days ... *sigh*

Ok back to Network now!! Got to check AD and ISA. Domain migration is on its way.

OT

Its sunday afternoon and I'm still here at the office rushing over the INFRA MAPS of DA to be presented to Senator Angara.

Hayy! We've been working on this special ( anytime maisip nilang ipagawa) na project since friday.

I just wish the effort is worth it..

'Lately I've working hard that I miss playing with my baby. I wish I had more time. But there's just too much to do lately. I have Microsoft trainings ,my CISCO class and the usual operations of the network to attend to. '

:(

I miss you janise.

World Food day Candlelight Vigil

October 21, 2008
4 PM Liwasang Aurora QC Circle

Department of Agriculture, FAO and WFP

This year's celebration is not as solemn as it was last year. Maybe because this time we have KC concepcion as our guest. I think her being an actress made the celebration a little like showbiz..

I'm not against her as an ambassador. In fact, I'm a fan of this pretty young lady. Even liked her more when she became an ambassador. Her heart for the public service has been encouraging..

But still, we can't deny her popularity as an actress. And pinoys respond differently with a showbiz personality around.

Just my observation....

I personally believed that DA is here to answer all our countrymen's need for a food security. In whatever way it can. Uy loyal!
